Classic Shortbread Cookies
Description
This recipe is made of only 4 ingredients, and takes minimal effort! This was my grandmothers recipe and tastes just like the boxed shortbread, but even better (in my VERY unbiased opinion ;))
You can also make the dough in advance and keep it in plastic wrap in the fridge for when you have time to make the shapes and bake!

1. Mix butter and sugar until just combined
-
2. Add in flour and salt
-
3. Mix until it comes together, and then turn out onto floured worksurface
-
4. Coat with a dusting of flour, and roll out to ~1cm thick.
-
5. Cut out your shapes and place about 3cm apart on a baking sheet.
-
6. Bake for 8-10 minutes until the slightest bit browned. Let cool on the baking sheet for 2 minutes before transferring to cooling racks.

NOTE: If you are using salted butter, reduce or eliminate the added salt (to your taste)
